SENIOR EXECUTIVE – DATA CENTRE ENGINEER

Job Descriptions:
-Set up and configure VMWare, Nutanix and Virtual Server.
-Configure hardware such as Server Blade Raid, external backup and UPS setup.
-Perform server administration and regular backups of data to prevent data loss.
-Monitor and troubleshoot server, storage and networking equipment to prevent technical malfunctions or failures.
-Provide technical support for applications and operating systems used in the data centre to both internal and external customers.
-Identify areas of risks and proactively seek solutions to mitigate impacts to service and availability.
-Handle 1st and 2nd level end-user support and service requests from users.
-Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords for end-users.

Job Requirements:
-Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
-At least 2 – 3 years’ working experience in similar capacity.
-Hands-on experience in performing server storage adminstration for HP or Nutanix Storage.
-Ability to set up and configure VMWare, Nutanix and Virtual Server and configure server hardware.
-Working knowledge of Windows environment such as Microsoft Active Directory, Domain Services, DNS, DHCP.
-Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure in Microsoft Platform, WAN, LAN, VMWare, routers, switches, firewall and VPN.
-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a sense of urgency to get work done.
-Ability to work long hours to meet deadlines and on-call basis on emergency after office hours or during weekends when the need arises.
