Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
-Lead end-to-end recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
-Develop effective hiring strategies to address manpower shortages, especially for frontline roles
-Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and oversee foreign worker hiring processes where applicable
-Partner with operations to plan manpower needs based on business expansion and clinic performance
2. HR Operations & Administration
-Oversee full HR lifecycle including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and offboarding processes
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with Malaysian regulations
-Prepare and manage employment contracts, HR letters, and internal documentation
-Ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations across multiple clinic locations
3. Payroll & Compensation Management
-Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement
-Verify attendance, overtime, allowances, and deductions prior to payroll processing
-Ensure compliance with statutory contributions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB (income tax)
-Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
-Liaise with finance or external payroll vendors where required
-Maintain proper payroll records and ensure audit readiness
4. Compliance & Industrial Relations
-Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Employment Act 1955 and relevant labour regulations
-Handle employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations
-Provide HR advisory and guidance to management on labour laws and best practices
-Liaise with relevant government authorities when necessary
5. Performance Management & Training
-Implement and monitor performance appraisal processes
-Work closely with managers to identify training needs and support employee development
-Support structured onboarding and training programs for new hires
6. Employee Engagement & Culture
-Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and morale
-Act as a key point of contact between management and employees
-Foster a positive and productive work environment aligned with company values
7. HR Reporting & Strategy
-Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, hiring efficiency, absenteeism, and payroll costs
-Provide insights and recommendations to improve HR effectiveness and workforce stability
-Ensure alignment with regional HR practices and support HQ initiatives where applicable
Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
-Minimum 5–8 years of HR generalist experience, with at least 2–3 years in a retail / healthcare industry.
-Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements
-Hands-on payroll experience is required, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB
-Experience in multi-outlet or service-based industries (e.g., healthcare, retail, F&B) is preferred
-Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take full ownership of HR functions
-Comfortable operating as a standalone HR lead in Johor
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
-Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
-Willingness to travel within Johor for site visits
-Willing to travel to Singapore & KL for meetings or discussions when required
