Job Description
1. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Initiation
Lead project kick-off meetings, technical reviews, and regular progress discussions with customers and internal teams
Review project requirements, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and resolve technical or commercial issues with relevant stakeholders
Develop detailed project plans, milestones, schedules, and resource requirements for assigned projects
Project Execution & Monitoring
Monitor project execution and drive timely completion of engineering, procurement, assembly, testing, installation, and handover activities
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet scope, budget, and timeline commitments
Plan and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), verification, validation, and final project buyoff
Change & Risk Management
Manage scope changes, evaluate their impact on cost and schedule, and obtain the necessary internal and customer approvals
Identify project risks and issues early, recommend corrective actions, and follow through to closure
Lead the ECO process — track program/project changes and publish updated schedules as agreed with management
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, meeting records, technical submissions, change requests, and acceptance documents
Prepare and present project status updates, risks, recovery plans, and key action items to management and project teams
Prepare program reports and executive presentations; assist in metric development and tracking
Write Work Instructions, Process Flows, or Procedures related to program/project coordination
Compile and manage program/project documents (product plans, mechanical drawings, BOMs, purchase requisitions) and submit or archive them per department policies
Procurement & Delivery Support
Receive ad-hoc Purchase Orders from customers; perform invoicing, tracking, and record-keeping
Coordinate the submission of purchase requisitions and track progress through to proper closure of purchase orders
Follow up on shipments as needed to meet site and customer without delay
Customer Management & Project Closure
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
Receive customer issues/complaints and coordinate with related departments for solutions and timely feedback
Support project closure activities, including punch list tracking, final documentation, lessons learned, and handover to customers or service teams
Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and project management best practices
2. Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
At least 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Technical Engineer in an automation, machine building, or system integration environment
Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost control, and risk management
Experience in equipment design, build, testing, installation, and project delivery is an advantage
Ability to gather, analyze, and present technical and project information clearly to internal teams and customers
Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Able to work independently, lead project teams effectively, and contribute as a strong team player
