Senior Purchaser - Tanjung Langsat

Requirement
-Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, or equivalent.
-Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin speaker will be an advantage).
-Preferably familiar with SAP system program.
-At least 2 year (s) of working experience as a purchaser or similar role. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
-Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
-Ideally candidate with a well understanding of supply chain procedures.


Job specialization as follows:
-To carry out full spectrum of raw materials purchasing, sourcing new supplier, negotiating prices, releasing purchase orders, expediting order and delivery confirmation.
-Lead, supervise and coordinate purchasing team members in daily procurement activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
-Liaise with vendors on materials and equipment purchasing, including following up on delivery status and updating respective stakeholders.
-Review/Prepare purchase orders and verify purchase order specifications by referring to negotiations with vendors on quotations and payment terms.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.
-Upon receipt of purchasing requisitions, verify suppliers and pricing to ensure purchases are made at the most competitive cost.
-Input purchasing data into the SAP system and manage complete documentation.
-Manage and maintain the Approved Supplier List.
-Oversee the ordering of materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
-Monitor and manage transportation yearly contract arrangements.
-Collect market information and prepare monthly strategic reports.
-Ensure material supply meets operational demand and optimize the overall cost of materials and equipment.
-Assist and execute any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
