Job Description
Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including cost center analysis, variance reports, and manufacturing performance metrics, to support timely and informed operational decisions.
• Monitor and analyze BOM cost, production costs, material usage variances, and overhead absorption to ensure accurate product costing, support pricing strategies, and assess profitability.
• Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including verification of supplier invoices, three-way matching (PO, GRN, Invoice), expense coding, preparation of payment runs, and ensuring timely and accurate processing in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor vendor aging reports, reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate closely with procurement, warehouse, and vendors to resolve issues promptly.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of accruals, AP reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and related journal entries.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards (MFRS).
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, cost transparency, and operational effectiveness within the manufacturing environment.
• Perform any other duties or projects assigned by management or finance leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Experience:
-Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
-Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory control, and financial analysis.
-Experience in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
-Familiarity with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant tax regulations.
-Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
