Shift Assistant / Production Supervisor

Responsibilities :

Supervise daily operations of biodiesel production, oil refining and washing plants

Ensure production targets are achieved in terms of quantity, quality and cost efficiency

Monitor and control critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, catalyst dosing, methanol recovery, washing efficiency and drying

Coordinate smooth plant startups, shutdowns and changeovers

Ensure uninterrupted plant operations by effective coordination with maintenance and utilities teams

Monitor quality of feedstock, intermediate products and final biodiesel and glycerine

Ensure proper washing, neutralization, drying and filtration of biodiesel

Monitor performance of reactors, centrifuges, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators and storage tanks

Identify equipment abnormalities and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance

Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals, methanol, catalysts and finished products

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production and downtime reports



Requirement :

Diploma / Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

5 years of experience in biodiesel, edible oil refinery, chemical or chemical process

Strong knowledge of biodiesel production process (transesterification)

Understanding of vegetable oil / waste oil refining processes

Knowledge of DCS / PLC systems, methanol recovery systems, glycerine separation and by-product handling

Ability to work in shifts and perform overtime work
