Technician - Failure Analysis/Debug

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Ensures integrity of failure data including conditions, symptoms, and failure modes. Reviews RMA data for consistent, complete failure coding.
-Identifies trends in failures and provides quantitative analysis of such trends.
-Identifies and documents the most probable Root Cause(s) of failures.
-Drives Corrective Action for simple failures.
-Prepares complete, concise Failure Analysis reports for internal and external customer communications.
-Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
-Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
-Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT：
-Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat
-Failure Analysis Technicians regularly work in development and test labs, and manufacturing facilities.
-Travel to international locations may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Proficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processes.
-SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft Office applications, and general database management.
-Requires effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey factual learnings.

EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum three (3) years' experience working in a semiconductor company.
-Experience as FA technician, Assembly Backend Technician and Test Technician.
-Specific product knowledge which enables effective failure analysis.
-Demonstrated Failure Analysis of complex, elector-mechanical assemblies.
-Also open to Fresh Graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Electrical, or related fields) who have strong analytical skills and interest in Failure Analysis.

EDUCATION:
-Technical school or Diploma in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent education.
-Associates degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
-Certified 6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology.
