Job Description
JOB BRIEF
The Logistics & Distribution Manager’s key task is to organize the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods (full order cycle), and to ensure that orders are fulfilled (carried out) correctly.
The duties include
1. determining the scope and requirements of the logistic operation, communicating with relevant departments / sections to assess delivery details;
2. managing staff;
3. analyzing distribution / logistical processes to make improvements and plan transportation routes for vehicles carrying goods;
4. making sure the staff members involved in the process perform their assigned tasks up to the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Organise and manage logistics, Sales Delivery Warehouse, transportation and ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Areas in-charged are:
a) All the Midas customer deliveries (including E-Store);
b) Goods distribution (including fresh produce) to Inter-Companies
c) Sales Delivery Warehouse
3. Co-ordinate drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys.
4. Work closely with the planning and project teams to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner. Meet productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
5. Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction (delivery on time and correct goods & quantity being delivered) are met. Review operation goals with staff, on a daily basis.
6. Maintain proper resources (e.g. headcount, electricity and tools such as roll cages, carton boxes etc.) to ensure facility is operating within established labour budget and usage of resources and operation output for each shift.
6. Ensure compliance with all operation SOP, packing and bagging/tagging standard, and other QC guidelines
7. Ensure compliance with all food safety & hygiene procedures and partner with Quality Assurance team to monitor cold chain temperatures.
8. Monitor and reduce operation controllable quality errors, e.g. missing/excess/damage/rotten product in customer order. Review operation QC error data which resulted from operation activities.
9. Manage inventory at the Sales Delivery Warehouse and manage waste; Ensure all inventory transactions are captured into the system in a timely manner and maintain the healthy inventory level.
10. Resolve any arising problems or complaints; plan for and negotiating technical difficulties to ensure smooth flow of the entire operation.
11. Manage staff (including staff coaching) and shifts.
12. Perform reporting and data analysis tasks to assess performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for process improvements and reduce cost.
13. Maintain all lorry vehicles (that under your care) good condition at all times.
14. Responsible for monitoring Lorry Puspakom date, renewal Road tax and Lorry regular services.
15. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Diploma in Logistic Management/ Supply Chain/ Industrial Operation &/or possess minimum 4 years relevant working experience related to logistics and distribution.
2. Familiar with Retail System - Panda Backend would be an added advantage; IT savvy and familiar with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
3. Approach all aspects of work with a strong customer focus.
4. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
5. Strong interpersonal skill and ability to communicate effectively with different levels of people, both speaking and writing in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia;
6. Attention to detail, good time management skills, strong planning and organizing skills, quality management skills. Works well with deadlines;
7. Understanding of local transportation limitations and regulations. Familiar with lorry maintenance would be an added advantage.
