Planning and organizing import/ export strategies and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the company

Lead Logistics operations which cover import/export, product compliance, and regulatory affairs.

Negotiate and compare ocean freight/haulage service with forwarder/carrier.

Responsible for planning and purchasing of inventory items in order to ensure uninterrupted distribution with optimum inventory level.

Assist the department manager in setting goals and improving logistics/procurement processes

Supervise and guide junior staff in daily shipping and purchasing operations.

Generate reports related to shipments, purchase orders, costs, and supplier performance.

Ensure compliance of established procurement policies and procedures. Conduct ongoing reviews of same and implement continuous improvements where required.

Escalate any known supplier issues or constraints to Procurement Manager and complete any prescribed actions to resolve

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of international procurement and export operation knowledge with 2 years management experience.

Excellent leadership and organization skills

Competent in the usage and application of ERP and computer software.

Commercially focused and attention to details with strong analytical & numerical skils.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge in compliance to ISO is an added advantage.
