Job Description
The Group Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Group’s consolidation and financial reporting activities. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and governance of financial reporting across all entities and jurisdictions, while supporting management with clear financial insights and continuous process improvements.
The role combines strong technical expertise in consolidation, reporting, and controls, with hands-on involvement in strengthening Group-level finance operations, driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
1. Group Consolidation & Reporting
Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Manage intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and minority interest computations.
Ensure financial reports are compliant with MFRS/IFRS and aligned with Group accounting policies.
Prepare comprehensive management reports with detailed variance and performance analysis (month-on-month, year-on-year, vs budget).
Support the Group Financial Controller in presenting consolidated results and performance commentary to management and the Board.
Maintain and continuously refine the Group Chart of Accounts (COA) to ensure consistent mapping and structure across entities.
2. Compliance, Audit & Taxation
Coordinate and manage Group-level audits, ensuring timely completion with minimal adjustments.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial teams across jurisdictions.
Ensure timely submission of statutory financial statements, tax filings, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
Prepare annual financial statements for Group and manage relevant statutory obligations.
Ensure consistent application of accounting standards and compliance with the Companies Act, MFRS/IFRS, and local regulations.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
Support the preparation of the Group budget and annual forecast, consolidating inputs from all subsidiaries and business units.
Conduct financial analysis on performance trends, profitability, and cost management across markets.
Collaborate with the relevant and management teams on strategic planning and annual business reviews.
Provide management with actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational and financial performance.
4. Systems, Processes & Internal Controls
Play a key role in the SAP system implementation, including COA mapping, data migration, and configuration of financial reporting structures.
Maintain the SAP COA structure and ensure accurate mapping to local accounting systems (SQL or others).
Enhance internal controls and standardize accounting processes across the Group to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Support automation, integration, and alignment of finance processes with operations and IT functions.
5. Ad-hoc & Strategic Projects
Assist management in financial due diligence, business restructuring, or new entity setup.
Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Operations, or IT aimed at improving data accuracy and reporting visibility.
Provide support in strategic projects such as market expansion, M&A evaluations, or intercompany financing arrangements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (MFRS/IFRS), consolidation principles, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with regional teams and external auditors.
Proactive, independent, and capable of leading process improvements in a fast-growing international group.
