Overview

The Costing Manager is responsible for leading the product costing function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company profitability objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize cost structures and maintain pricing governance.



Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the product costing team to achieve operational excellence and deliver accurate costing data.

Establish, maintain, and enforce standardized costing processes, procedures, and pricing governance across all product lines.

Ensure all costing activities are accurate, timely, and aligned with the company’s profitability and strategic objectives.

Collaborate with Product Managers to develop, review, and optimize product cost structures for competitiveness and sustainability.

Prepare and present weekly inventory reports to management.

Monitor daily product billing prices to ensure compliance with approved pricing policies.

Undertake additional duties or special assignments as directed by senior management.



Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in costing, pricing, or financial analysis, preferably in distribution environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and ERP systems.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
