What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and present sashimi, sushi, and related Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards
-Ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients
-Perform precise cutting and portioning using correct Japanese techniques
-Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
-Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and minimising food waste
-Support other kitchen staff and cooperate with the kitchen team during service hours
-Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and kitchen safety guidelines

Requirements & Qualification
-Proven experience as a Sashimi Chef or similar role in a Japanese restaurant
-Excellent knife skills and knowledge of sashimi and sushi preparation
-Familiarity with food hygiene and safety standards
-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-Team player with a positive working attitude
-Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
