Warehouse Manager

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse and logistics operations in Klang. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse management, timely delivery performance, cost optimization, and high customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will oversee a large operations team, manage inventory and distribution activities, and work closely with cross-functional departments and third‑party logistics partners to achieve operational excellence.

Job Description

Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers.

Plan and optimize logistics activities to achieve DIFOTIS targets while controlling transportation and operational costs.

Supervise, coach, train, and motivate warehouse staff to enhance productivity, safety, and service levels.

Monitor and manage key operational metrics including stock accuracy, delivery timelines, transportation costs, and warehouse productivity.

Oversee warehouse operations for a facility of approximately 300,000 sq ft with inventory value of RM16–20 million.

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards including ISO, Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements.

Develop and maintain performance metrics to track operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Coordinate closely with internal teams including Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Management to ensure smooth supply chain operations and OTIF performance.

Manage relationships with third‑party transporters to ensure reliable and cost‑effective delivery services.

Serve as the main contact point for warehouse-related operational matters and customer delivery inquiries.

Support customer relationship initiatives to enhance service quality and responsiveness.

Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service performance.

Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and development of warehouse personnel.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.

At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.

Experience managing large-scale warehouse operations and logistics teams.

Good understanding of operational cost management and basic P&L concepts.

Familiarity with safety standards, compliance requirements, and ISO practices in warehouse environments.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external logistics partners.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
