Finance Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Finance Manager to support the setup and operations of our Malaysia entity. This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, while also supporting factory operations, cost control, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Manage full set of accounts for the Malaysia entity

Lead monthly and year-end closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements

Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies

Tax & Compliance
Handle all Malaysian tax filings (corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, etc.)

Identify tax risks and provide practical tax planning solutions

Act as key contact with tax authorities and external tax agents

Ensure timely submission of statutory and government reports

Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and statutory requirements by coordinating with auditors, tax agents, MIDA, Customs and relevant authorities.

Manufacturing Finance & Costing
Support factory operations with financial analysis and cost control

Monitor inventory, CAPEX, and asset capitalization

Provide insights on production cost, margin, and efficiency

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Process & System Improvement
Establish and improve finance processes, internal controls, and SOPs

Support SAP finance module implementation/localization

Drive finance standardization in a greenfield / setup environment

Business Partnering
Provide timely finance and tax advisory to business teams

Support cross-border transactions and China HQ coordination
