Job Description
1. Sales & Customer Engagement
- Greet and engage walk in and appointment customers in a professional, friendly manner.
- Understand customer needs, budget, and preferences through effective questioning.
- Present and explain GWM vehicle features, specifications, and benefits clearly and confidently (e.g. EV technology, SUV practicality, safety features).
- Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle performance, safety and comfort.
- Present financing, leasing, and insurance options to customers.
- Negotiate pricing within company guidelines and close sales deals.
2. Product Knowledge & Consultation
- Stay updated on GWM’s latest models, trims, technologies, EV features and competitor offerings.
- Provide honest, professional recommendations based on each customer’s lifestyle and requirements (family use, urban driving, long distance, EV suitability, etc.).
- Explain after sales services, warranties, maintenance packages and, where applicable, charging/ownership considerations for GWM EV models.
3. Sales Process Management
- Generate leads through online inquiries, social media, showroom walk ins, referrals and cold calls.
- Follow up promptly with prospects via calls, messages and emails to secure appointments and bookings.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads and sales pipeline in the CRM/system.
- Handle all sales documentation, including booking forms, loan applications, trade-in evaluations and registration documents.
4. Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Build long term relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases and referrals.
- Coordinate vehicle delivery, ensuring a smooth handover and positive delivery experience for every GWM customer.
- Collect customer feedback and assist in resolving issues, escalating to management when necessary.
5. Sales Targets & Performance
- Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets for units and revenue.
- Contribute to branch level performance by supporting campaigns and sales initiatives for GWM models.
- Participate in roadshows, exhibitions, test drive events and marketing activities when required.
6. Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing to promote GWM campaigns, offers and digital leads.
- Coordinate with after sales/service teams to ensure a seamless ownership experience for GWM customers.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly sales reports to management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 - 5 years working experience in automotive sales or a related customer facing sales role.
- Strong interest in cars and/or EV technology, with the willingness to continuously learn about GWM products and competitors.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident dealing with all customer segments.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, to communicate with Mandarin speaking customers (and principal where required).
Self motivated, results oriented and comfortable working in a target driven environment.
- Possess a valid driving licence and able to conduct test drives with customers.
