Product Merchandiser

We are looking for an experienced Buyer / Merchandiser to drive category performance
through strategic product planning and merchandising execution. This role is responsible for
analyzing sales trends, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring the right product mix is
available to meet business goals. You will work closely with internal teams to enhance product
performance, maximize profitability, and improve customer experience.

Product Selection & Assortment Planning
Develop and execute seasonal buying and merchandising plans based on sales data,
customer insights, and market trends.
Optimize product assortment to align with company goals and customer demand.
Monitor product performance and recommend adjustments to maximize sales and
profitability.
Inventory & Stock Management
Plan and manage stock levels to ensure availability while minimizing overstock and
markdowns.
Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to manage stock levels, avoid
overstocking, and minimize stock shortages.
Analyze sell-through rates and adjust strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
Merchandising & Sales Performance
Conduct regular analysis of sales, category performance, and customer buying behavior.
Develop action plans based on insights to drive sales and improve product performance.
Monitor key KPIs such as sales growth, gross margin, stock turn, and sell-through rate.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
Partner with marketing, operations, and retail teams to align product strategies with
business objectives.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on category performance.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to refine merchandising
strategies.
Guide and mentor junior buyers/merchandisers, providing training and support as
needed.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related
field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in buying or merchandising, preferably in retail, fashion,
or FMCG.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with experience in sales data interpretation.
Knowledge of inventory planning, pricing strategies, and category management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot & V lookup Functions)
