Product & Application Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Design product components and assemblies for all the related new product or existing product range between agricultural of poultry & swine system, design and develop new products as required the machinery using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).

Conduct feasibility studies, engineering calculations, and tolerance analysis.

Develop prototypes and support testing for functionality, durability, and compliance.

Carry out the assigned projects using project management tool and gate reviews with cross-functional team.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and field service teams to integrate mechanical solutions.

Develop, prepare and maintain engineering data documentation as required, including CAD drawings, Part Number Creation, BOM, costing data, design calculations, bills of materials, technical specifications, product and installation manual, marketing literature, test data etc.

Work with suppliers on DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and sourcing of components.

Investigate design issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.

Ensure compliance with agricultural machinery safety and environmental standards and internal quality systems.

Travel occasionally is required within national and international coverage to provide technical support to field or customers

Minimum Qualification

Physical requirements may include prolonged standing, light lifting, and use of hand tools during prototyping/testing



Minimum Qualifications Details

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or other related course.

Minimum 5 years in Product & Application Engineering /product design engineering, Machine or Automation Design role within a manufacturing environment.

Good working knowledge of Pro/Engineer, Creo, SolidWorks or AutoCAD design software.

Knowledge of Product & Application Engineering or mechanical/engineering analysis tools will be an added advantage.

Good presentation and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Meticulous, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good command in English, Malay.

Mandarin speaking will be added advantage.
