QA/QC Manager (Precision Metal Fabrication & Semicon)

We are seeking a rigorous and experienced QA/QC Manager to lead our quality assurance and control operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between heavy metal fabrication and high-precision engineering, overseeing quality from raw material to final finished assembly.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in metal processing—specifically in welding, precision bending, and industrial painting/coating—combined with an understanding of the stringent standards required for the semiconductor equipment or high-tech manufacturing industry. You will ensure that all custom frames, enclosures, and fabricated components meet precise geometric tolerances, structural integrity, and flawless aesthetic and cleanliness standards.

Key Requirements & Qualifications:
1. Industry Experience
Minimum of 5–7 years of QA/QC experience in metal fabrication, with a proven track record handling components, frames, or enclosures for the semiconductor, automation, or electronics industry. At least 2 years in a managerial role.

2. Core Technical Knowledge
a. Welding: Deep understanding of welding processes (MIG/TIG), weld aesthetics, and defect analysis (e.g., AWS or ISO standards). Experience with structural frames for semicon tools is highly preferred.
b. Bending & Forming: Sharp expertise in sheet metal forming, press brake operations, bend allowances, and strict adherence to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
c. Painting & Surface Finishing: Solid knowledge of surface preparation (blasting/cleaning) and industrial coatings (powder coating, wet paint) with strict control over Dry Film Thickness (DFT) and cosmetic defects.

3. Semicon-Specific Awareness
Familiarity with the cleanroom requirements, strict contamination controls, high cosmetic standards, and tight tolerances typical of semiconductor equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

4. Skills & Tools
Proficient in reading complex engineering blueprints and utilizing precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, coating thickness gauges).

5. Leadership
Strong capability in managing non-conformance reports (NCRs), driving root-cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, PMFEA, ), and leading a floor inspection team to match both production speed and quality targets.
