Career Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and analytical individual to join our team as a Market Insight Specialist/Executive. This role is critical in supporting strategic business decisions in Product Development and Marketing strategies, both in the domestic (Malaysia) and international markets where Proton operates.

You will be part of a dynamic team within Corporate Strategy (CS), responsible for delivering actionable insights and helping to foster a customer-focused, data-driven marketing culture in Proton.


Key Responsibilities

-Gather, organize, and analyze market data to provide insights on industry competitiveness, market trends, product performance, and customer profiling.

-Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on automotive industry trends and Proton’s performance.

-Support the Senior Manager in managing day-to-day market insight activities and driving strategic capability within the division.

-Develop business plans and strategies to enhance Proton’s competitiveness in local and global markets.

-Design and manage market research projects, including research design, approval process, data analysis, and insight development, to support decision-making and identify consumer trends.


Requirements

-Bachelor’s Degree in any field (preferably in Statistics, Analytics, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines).

-3–5 years of experience in market insights, market research, business intelligence, or automotive industry research.

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to observe and interpret market and consumer behavior patterns.

-Good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and at various organizational levels.

-Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and market research/data management tools (SPSS, ASCII, etc.).

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
