Job Description:

Analyse and review customer part drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications.

Establish and define the most efficient and cost-effective machining processes, including the identification of specialized tools, machinery, and fixtures.

Collaborate with the Costing Department to provide detailed input on machining processes, tooling requirements, and equipment needs for RFQs.

Support the Production Department by ensuring that all necessary process documentation, tooling, and equipment are available for successful First Article (FA) production runs.

Perform process validation and support troubleshooting during initial production phases.

Recommend improvements to machining processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality standards.



Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Machining Process Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding, and other related operations.

Experience with part drawing interpretation and the ability to create machining process plans.

Familiarity with the tools and equipment used in machining operations.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and process documentation tools.
