Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, develop, test, and implement new or enhanced applications using RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, Free Format RPG).
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes on existing applications.
Maintain and optimize existing AS400 programs and database files (DB2/400).
Collaborate with business analysts, end-users, and other development team members to deliver effective solutions.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Support data migration, interface, and integration tasks as needed.
Requirements

Strong experience in AS400 (IBM iSeries) environment.

Proficiency in RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and SQL/400.

Experience with DB2/400 and physical/logical file design.

Understanding of job scheduling tools and AS400 operational commands.

Knowledge of data conversion and integration techniques.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
