Position Overview

The Public Relations (PR) Manager is responsible for shaping, protecting, and communicating the company’s brand reputation across all external and internal channels. This role manages media relations, prepares official communication materials, supports crisis management efforts, and ensures consistent brand messaging across markets.



Key Responsibilities

1. Media Relations & Publicity

Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets, KOLs and public stakeholders.

Prepare and distribute press releases, media statements, corporate announcements, and briefing notes.

Coordinate media interviews, pitching opportunities, and press coverage.

Monitor daily media mentions, sentiment analysis, and competitor news.

2. Corporate Communication

Draft official messages, CEO/Director speeches, talking points, and corporate decks.

Ensure communication tone aligns with brand values and company direction.

Manage internal updates, newsletters, and communication alignment across departments.

Support cross-country communication consistency (if operating regionally).

3. Brand Reputation & Messaging

Safeguard the company’s public image through strategic communication planning.

Ensure messaging consistency across marketing, sales, HR, and regional teams.

Develop narrative frameworks, brand stories, and communication guidelines.

Strengthen corporate persona through thought leadership and strategic storytelling.

4. Crisis Communication

Prepare crisis response materials including holding statements, FAQs, media Q&A, and internal alerts.

Work closely with management to manage sensitive issues and reduce reputational risk.

Act as coordination point during crisis situations with media and stakeholders.

5. Event & Campaign Support

Support PR-related aspects of product launches, CSR programs, campaigns, and press events.

Coordinate media invitations, briefing documents, press kits, and key messaging.

Oversee event branding, scripts, and communication materials.

6. Stakeholder Management

Liaise with government bodies, agencies, industry partners, NGOs, and associations when required.

Manage joint communications for partnerships, collaborations, or expansion initiatives.

7. Reporting & Insights

Provide monthly PR performance reports (coverage, sentiment, PR value, impact).

Track trends, issues, and opportunities for publicity.

Propose proactive PR strategies to elevate brand reputation.



Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.

2–5 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, media, or branding (senior roles may require 6–8 years+).

Strong writing skills (press release, corporate tone, messaging structure).

Excellent understanding of media landscape and stakeholder management.

Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-country environments.

Strong crisis communication and narrative development skill is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
