Inspect and monitor railway permanent way components including rails, sleepers, ballast, fastening systems, and track geometry.

Conduct routine and special track inspections in accordance with KTMB standards and specifications.

Identify track defects, record findings, and prepare inspection reports with recommendations for rectification.

Supervise track maintenance, rectification, and renewal works.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, method statements, and work instructions.

Prepare inspection reports, daily logs, and technical documentation.

Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and KTMB representatives on site

Attend night works, emergency works, and possession periods when required.



Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering / Railway Engineering or related field.

Minimum 2–5 years experience in railway permanent way inspection or maintenance.

Familiar with KTMB P-Way standards, track inspection procedures, and safety requirements.

Knowledge of rails, sleepers, ballast profiling, tamping, and track alignment.

Able to read drawings, method statements, and inspection checklists.

Willing to work outdoor, night shifts, and weekends.

Possess valid track safety competency / railway pass (added advantage).

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia (basic English an advantage).

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
