Job Description

About the Role

This role is accountable for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet annual sales targets, fostering strong working relationships with local project customers, ensuring retention and growth of existing clients, and actively expanding the new client base.

What you'll be doing

1. Sales Performance & Target Achievement
Ensure the assigned sales team achieves annual and monthly sales targets through effective planning, execution, and performance monitoring.

Drive team accountability for individual and collective sales performance.

2. Market Intelligence & Business Development
Identify and monitor new project launches, market developments, competitor activities, and product trend movements to support proactive sales planning and opportunity generation.

Identify new potential clients and projects, and define appropriate engagement and follow-up strategies.

3. Gross Profit (GP) Management
Ensure targeted gross profit margins are achieved for all projects.

Consult with direct superior (General Manager / Team Leader) on discount structures for tenders and negotiated projects, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and profitability targets.

4. Sales Reporting & Governance
Compile and submit KPI data and sales performance reports to the direct superior

Conduct and/or attend weekly sales meetings covering:

Progress updates on existing and ongoing projects

Accumulated individual and team sales performance against targets

New potential clients and project opportunities

Review of submitted quotations, pricing strategy, and discount structures

including key achievements, risks, and pipeline status.

5. Customer Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local project customers to build trust, loyalty, and repeat business.

Attend sales meetings, site visits, and project-related appointments independently or together with team members, as required.

6. Quality Control & Customer Requirement Fulfilment
Ensure all customer requirements are met at all times through close supervision and review of the sales team’s work.

Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of all sales-related deliverables, including:

Quotations

Material specification lists

Presentation slides and boards

All pre-presentation preparations

Drawing proposals (where required)

Coordination of mock-up submissions (FCF / SR / SI / PDI / WO)

Handling VIP and end-user enquiries throughout the full requirement lifecycle

Sourcing new suppliers or materials to meet tender requirements

Design planning and coordination

Brief designers on drawing requests and ensure all drawings prepared by project designers are accurate and compliant before submission to clients.

7. Leadership & Team Development
Coach and guide sales team members and designers in their daily activities to improve performance and capability.

Provide direction and resolve issues or challenges faced by sales executives and designers.

Manage, motivate, and guide the sales team to achieve sales targets and drive continuous process improvement.

Support and assist the sales team in sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and client engagement.

8. Post-Sales & Project Execution Support
Coordinate with clients on show unit or mock-up shop drawings and material sample approvals after project award.

Compile project details and brief the contract and operations departments on newly secured projects.

Coordinate and follow up with clients on show unit/mock-up approvals.

Monitor and follow up on payment collection in line with contractual terms.

Attend site meetings, visits, or inspections as required.

Assist in the preparation and tabulation of Variation Orders (VOs) or omissions, where applicable.

What you'll bring

Preferably with experience in loose furniture, interior design, or architectural-related industries

Good knowledge of technical and shop drawings

Strong attention to detail and well-organized in work execution

Able to work under pressure and meet short lead times

Self-disciplined with good time management skills

Confident in presenting design concepts to clients

Able to handle project tenders and quotations independently
