Assistant Manager - Insurance Claim Process(Cantonese Speaker）

Role Summary

To provide dedicated end-to-end expert support for life insurance claims.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the claims team, including workload planning, performance coaching, staff development, and conducting performance reviews; ensure adherence to service standards and continuous improvement of claim processing quality.

Assist the Manager in day-to-day claim operations, including maintenance of service standards and ensuring quality of work as defined by the Company.

Process minor claims including assessment, follow-up on insufficient/outstanding information, and issue of correspondence.

Assess, recommend, and approve claims subject to the authority assigned.

Create and manage case files; handle case creation and related updates.

Draft and check outgoing correspondence.

Assist with day-to-day administration of the claims administration system.

Provide feedback on claims processes, procedures, and manuals to improve efficiency and quality of claims operations.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the claims operation.

Qualifications and Experience

Language Proficiency: Able to read, write, and speak Cantonese and Mandarin. Alternatively, candidates who can read, write, and speak Mandarin and are proficient in Traditional Chinese characters will be considered.

Experience: Have experience handling Life Insurance Claims in the Hong Kong market.

Management Experience: Proven track record in managing a claims team, including people management, coaching, performance management, and team development.

Education/Certifications (optional): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; professional qualifications in insurance (e.g., CIP, ANZIIF) are a plus.
