Procurement Engineer

1.1 Project Procurement Execution
Execute procurement of machining parts based on drawings and BOM
Align purchasing plans with project schedules and budgets
Issue purchase orders and track order fulfillment

1.2 Supplier Development (Key Focus)
Identify and develop machining suppliers (CNC, fabrication, etc.)
Evaluate supplier capabilities (technical, quality, capacity)
Support supplier onboarding and qualification

1.3 Technical & Commercial Coordination
Work with Engineering to clarify drawings and technical requirements
Conduct technical discussions with suppliers (DFM, feasibility)
Perform cost analysis and negotiate pricing

1.4 Delivery & Project Support
Track production progress of machining parts
Manage critical and long lead-time items
Ensure material availability supports project milestones

1.5 Supplier Performance Management
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness)
Drive supplier improvement initiatives
Build and maintain a strong supplier pool

1.6 Quality & Issue Resolution
Coordinate resolution of quality issues with suppliers
Follow up corrective actions and ensure closure
Support rework, repair, or urgent replacement needs

1.7 Cost & Market Analysis
Analyze machining cost structure (material, process, labor)
Drive cost reduction through design optimization or sourcing strategy
Monitor market trends and provide feedback to management

1.8 Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Production, and Quality
Support standardization and localization initiatives
Participate in project and material review meetings
