Ocean Freight Pricing Executive (Tender & RFQ)

Salary: RM4,500/month

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Shah Alam (Bukit Jelutong Industrial Park)



Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing ocean freight tender submissions, validating pricing accuracy, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring all tender documentation is properly prepared and maintained. You will support both local and international tender processes while ensuring timely reporting and rate accuracy.



Key Responsibilities:



Local & Network Inquiry

To attend local & network (overseas) inquiry and provide accurate information to counterpart.

Support the Pricing & Trade Lane strategy and execute the pricing strategy for branches.

Quote Ocean freight & local charges to local team & network team.

Identify suitable process for every inquiry has been send to procurement team.

Interlock between Product and commercial for any matters concerning rates and market information.



Tenders Management

Go through RFQ received from Tender Management and accomplish submissions within RFQ deadline.

Give full visibility of proposed selling rates & provide general support to product and commercial to ensure profitability new business growth on RFI/RFP/RFQ.

Employee should have capabilities for critical thinking especial on rate negotiation and measure profit & loss.

Control/monitor adherence of pricing and procurement to agreed standards

Employee will work with team/superior for any RFQ submission within timelines.

Delivery a high-performance service culture.

Constantly drive continuous improvement efforts within area of responsibility (eg. Collaboration, system, processes)

Prepare tender record received from Global/Country/Local.

Any other job-related tasks as assigned by the superior.



Requirements

1–2 years experience in logistics, freight, supply chain, tender management, or pricing.

Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin/Tamil) are an advantage due to regional stakeholder coverage

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and documentation management.

Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
