Drone Pilot

Key Responsibilities

* Follow and support the production line process for drone assembly, wiring, and quality inspection.
* Tune and configure FPV freestyle/racing drones, fixed-wing aircraft, agricultural sprayers, and cargo drones, including flight controller PID tuning, ESC calibration, and pre-flight checks.
* Conduct systematic flight testing and performance validation for newly assembled or repaired aircraft.
* Identify, diagnose, and resolve flight anomalies or mechanical issues after flight operations.
* Travel with the team for field deployment, client demonstrations, and on-site troubleshooting.
* Deliver hands-on pilot training and operational guidance to customers and end-users.
* Provide internal training to employees on FPV drone fundamentals, operational knowledge, and basic technical principles.
* Conduct instructor-level training sessions at universities and higher education institutions on company drone products, flight operations, and product knowledge.
* Develop, structure, and maintain detailed training materials and teaching content for internal and external training programs.
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs, flight records, and technical documentation.
* Collaborate with the R&D and engineering team to provide field feedback for continuous improvement of aircraft performance.


Required qualifications

- Proven FPV pilot skills — able to fly freestyle and racing quads confidently in manual/acro mode.
- Experience piloting fixed-wing UAVs (VTOL or conventional).
- Hands-on experience with agricultural spraying drones and cargo/delivery drones.
- Solid understanding of flight controller firmware (e.g. Betaflight, ArduPilot, iNav, DJI) and tuning workflows.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, perform basic soldering, and carry out mechanical assembly tasks.
- Good communication skills for conducting training sessions.
- Willingness to travel frequently for field assignments.

Nice to have

- CAAM (Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia) drone pilot license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with LiDAR, mapping payloads, or precision agriculture systems.
- Basic programming knowledge (Python, GCS scripting, or Mission Planner).
- Prior experience in a drone manufacturing or MRO (maintenance, repair & overhaul) environment.
