Kubota Malaysia the national exclusive distributor of KUBOTA agricultural tractors and diesel engines for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Incorporated in the year 1968, the company started off as Pan Malaysian Agricultural Machinery Sdn. Bhd. (PMAM), manufacturing power tillers and diesel engines in the Batu Tiga, Shah Alam assembly plant. As the company grew and became a part of Pernas Sime Darby, the name Kubota Agricultural Machinery Sdn. Bhd was subsequently employed in year 1977, before it was rebranded to Sime Kubota Sdn. Bhd. in 1996, as what it is known as today. As a joint venture company between Sime Darby Industrial Holdings, Kubota Corporation and Marubeni Corporation of Japan, Sime Kubota shifted to its brand new office as part of the 35 acre site known as Tractors Engineering Complex in Puchong in 2005. Over the years, Sime Kubota has expanded its product range from power tillers, to become one of the key players in the supply of machineries for the agricultural and industrial sector in Malaysia, through the supply of tractors, rice combine harvesters, rice transplanters, mini excavators, generators, compressors, and other industrial equipment. In April 2019, Kubota Corporation bought over a majority share of the company from Sime Darby Industrial, changing the name to “Kubota Malaysia” henceforth.
