Requirements

Possess a Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or a related field.
Entry-level position; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrate strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, enabling effective interaction with kitchen staff and supervisors.
Exhibit problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during food preparation and service.
Maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
Manage time efficiently to ensure tasks are completed promptly and according to schedule.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients, under the guidance of senior chefs.
Demonstrate basic knife skills for precise and safe food preparation.
Maintain kitchen sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Perform dishwashing duties, ensuring all utensils, equipment, and dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Responsibilities

Assist in basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits, ensuring ingredients are ready for the culinary team.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, and ensuring proper storage of all items.
Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, verifying quantities and quality, and ensuring proper rotation of stock to minimize waste.
Support the culinary team in assembling and plating dishes according to established recipes and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, communicating needs to the supervisor to ensure adequate stock levels.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of food items, to prevent contamination and ensure customer safety.
