Sourcing Engineer
Salary: RM5000 - 8000

Job Responsibilities

1.Supplier Management:
-Develop, evaluate, and maintain supplier resources to ensure they meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
-Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.
-Build long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure supply chain stability.

2.Procurement Planning and Execution:
-Develop and execute procurement plans based on production schedules and project requirements.
-Ensure that purchased raw materials, components, and equipment meet technical specifications and quality standards.
-Track the status of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

3.Cost Control and Negotiation:
-Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to develop cost optimization strategies.
-Negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure procurement costs
-Reduce procurement costs through value engineering and alternative solutions.

4.Supply Chain Optimization:
-Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency.
-Coordinate communication between internal departments (e.g., production, quality, logistics) and suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain.
-Manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages

5.Risk Management:
-Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
-Ensure supplier compliance with environmental, labor, and safety standards.

6.Technical Support:
-Collaborate with the engineering team to understand technical requirements and provide procurement support.
-Participate in new product development processes and provide technical advice related to procurement.

Job Requirements：

1.Education: Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

2.Skills:
-Proficient in procurement processes and supply chain management.
-Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.
-Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
-Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

3.Experience:
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the precision manufacturing industry.
-Familiarity with machining, metalworking, CNC machining, or related fields is a plus.

4.Language:
-Fluent in English and Malay, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and international suppliers
-Proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.

5.Others:
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
