Reporting To : Logistics / Inventory HOD

Salary : MYR 3,000 – 3,800 per month (depending on experience K1/K2/K8 ePermit)

Working Hours : 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday



Position Overview
The Logistics & Customs Officer / Clerk is responsible for handling all logistics and customs-related activities within the Penang Free Trade Zone (FTZ). This role ensures smooth inbound and outbound movement of goods, accurate documentation, and full compliance with FTZ regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and process FTZ inbound and outbound documentation accurately and timely.

· Handle customs declarations, permits, and clearance procedures in compliance with regulations.

· Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, couriers, and transport providers.

· Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time delivery and receipt of goods.

· Maintain proper records for customs, logistics, and inventory transactions.

· Liaise with internal departments to support production and delivery requirements.

· Ensure compliance with FTZ rules, customs regulations, and internal control procedures.

Technical & Process Requirements
· Hands-on experience handling FTZ logistics and customs operations.

· Good understanding of FTZ procedures, customs forms, and documentation requirements.

· Familiar with import/export processes, bonded warehouse operations, and shipping documentation.

· Basic knowledge of inventory control and ERP or logistics systems is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience
· Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

· Relevant working experience in FTZ environment is required.

· Experience dealing with customs, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities is preferred.

Language Requirement
Preferred candidates should be able to communicate effectively in the following languages:

· Chinese (Optional)

· English

· Bahasa Malaysia

Additional Requirements
· Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

· Able to work independently and handle multiple shipments concurrently.

· Good coordination and communication skills with internal and external parties
