Job Description – Junior Mechanical Engineer
Industry: Performance Lighting Design & Manufacturing

Location: Lot 2889, Lebuh Kampung Jawa, FIZ Phase 3,11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang Malaysia

Employment: Permanent Position
Reporting To : Senior Mechanical Engineer / Engineering Manager / CTO

Salary: MYR3 ,500 – 5,000 per month (depending on experience)

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Over time is required)

Position Overview
The Junior Mechanical Engineer supports the mechanical design and development of components and assemblies for performance lighting products. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or early-career engineers who are keen to develop practical mechanical engineering skills in a structured R&D and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and preparation of engineering drawings.

· Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and evaluation activities.

· Assist in material selection, tolerance analysis, and basic thermal considerations.

· Prepare and maintain mechanical documentation, BOMs, and drawings.

· Support production, quality, and troubleshooting activities as required.

· Work closely with senior engineers on design improvement and cost optimization.

Technical Knowledge & Skills
· Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.

· Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent.

· Basic understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.

· Interest in product design, prototyping, and manufacturing support.

Qualifications & Experience
· Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

· Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

· Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage.

Language Requirement
Preferred candidates should be able to communicate effectively in the following languages:

· Chinese (Optional Reading & Speaking)

· English

· Bahasa Malaysia
