Key responsibilities

Assist in the procurement of raw materials, goods and services required for production and operations

Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms and manage orders and deliveries

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices and inventory levels

Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or surpluses

Prepare and review shipping documents (packaging list, Invoice and bill of lading)

Handle Import/Export documentation and compliance with customs regulation

Provide administrative support to the purchasing team as required

Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

At least 1 year experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries

Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers

Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines

Familiar with import and export shipping documentations

Computer literate, well-versed in Microsoft Office applications

Attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining accurate records

A team player with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation

Experience in Operations Management an advantage

Able to work independently with minimal supervision
