MES Manager

1.Planning
Creates and updates the IT / OT roadmap for the SBF AR in close collaboration with the Head of Global SCM / Head of Operations Technology and the local management teams / Smart Manufacturing Engineers , including the Global Business Process Experts . Ensures alignment of the IT / OT roadmap with the annual productivity planning of the SBF AR as well as the customer product programs . Plans and coordinates the rollout in the SBF AR , points out planned objectives and illustrates them . l In General supports the Business Unit in strategic projects ( l . e . IT / OT architecture , process standardization , dashboarding , etc .) for all plants and ensures their corporate IT / OT compliance . Identifies improvement potentials in the IT / OT architecture as well as in the associated processes .

2. Process
Ensures the sustainability of the Smart Manufacturing approach at all management levels of the business unit . Manages the transfer of knowledge and knowledge exchange regarding IT / OT topics . Supports the definition , priorization end excecution of the tasks of Smart Manufacturing Engineers according to the business unit roadmap or the plant - specific roadmaps . Is responsible for process govermance .

3. Projects
Defines , manages , and implements Smart Manufacturing projects within the SCHOTT MARS4.0 architecture ( MES , Machine & Equipment Connectivity , CAX , databases and networks , knowledge - based systems , simulation , etc .). Budgets projects and is responsible for adhering to cost and schedules while supporting the realization of benefits . Plans investments within the framework of Smart Manufacturing projects . Creates user stories or requirement specifications , designs test scenarios for user acceptance , develops reports and interfaces based on Ul designer tools , or coordinates implementation through intenal / external partners .

4.IT/OT Landscape & ERP System
Harmonizes the global OT master data and the IT / OT landscape . Increases the use of SAP in all modules as well as the SCHOTT MARS4.0architecture. Drives digitalization for all business processes . Represents the area in Technical Committees of OT4.0. Ensures the implementation of the OT Security Guideline withine the BU.

5. Organizational Development
Controls the cultural change of the business unit regarding digital transformation . Coordinates training for relevant employees . Guides and supports the further qualification of the Smart Manufacturing Engineers and the organization to achieve outstanding performance in OT4.0 knowledge and skills , as well as in moderation , presentation , and coaching skills .

6. Other tasks
Actively seeks a best practice network and exchange of experiences within the business unit and with other business units ( across SCHOTT ) as well as external companies and other partners with proven excellence in digital transformation .
