Starbucks in Malaysia is operated by Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd., a licensee of Starbucks Coffee International Inc. and a wholly owned subsidiary of Berjaya Food Berhad. From its first store opening in Kuala Lumpur on 17 December 1998, Starbucks has complete presence across all 16 states and territories in Malaysia. Currently, there are 401 stores throughout Malaysia, including 77 Drive-Thru stores and 18 Reserve™ stores. After more than 24 years of operation in Malaysia, Starbucks has grown not only to become the favorite coffee place for Malaysians but also a productive member of communities across the country. Remaining as an industry leader, providing convenience for its customer, Starbucks Malaysia is vastly expanding with 45-50 store openings in one year.
