Accounting Supervisor

Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
Preparing and analysing financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents to provide accurate and timely information to management
Reconciling bank accounts and other general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial records
Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making
Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of accounting policies and procedures
Providing mentorship and training to junior accounting staff, as required
Perform ad-hoc duties when required.
What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
Proficient in the use of accounting software and ERP systems, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to interact with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
