Accounts Assistant

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll play a key role in managing full-set accounts, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring everything adds up—literally and financially.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Able to speak in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
ACCA, CIMA or similar professional certification is a plus.
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role—preferably in the retail sector.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and software (e.g., ERP systems).
Confident in financial reporting, analysis, and data interpretation.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Must be willing to work in Kajang.
Responsibilities

Handle the full set of accounts: AR, AP, GL, and monthly financial statements.
Oversee accounting activities of subsidiary companies, including consolidations and intercompany transactions.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Analyze financial data to uncover trends and support key business decisions.
Assist in budget planning and forecasting with regular variance analysis.
Ensure tax compliance and manage tax submissions and audits.
Coordinate with auditors, providing clear documentation and timely responses.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and manage cash flow accuracy.
Monitor expenses to ensure compliance with budget controls.
