ASSISTANT ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities

Major Tasks

Ensure the productivity, yield and output of lines are optimized.

Solve technical problems and emergency cases.

Maintain line operation system in a proper channel.

Trouble shoot the quality (technical) issues that occurred in the production process.

Improve production efficiency with good product quality, yield, and output.

Perform corrective and preventive actions.

Perform the proper control of the non-conforming products.

Ensure proper identification of products in production.

Implement process optimization and followed with process control and monitoring.

Perform product failure analysis and problem solving.

Lead the team in execution of daily operation tasks, work / shift scheduling, training, and in continuous improvement projects.

Coordinate, monitor and review the assigned task.

Prepare required technical and regulatory documents such as SOP, WI, etc.

Ensure projects or tasks are completed on time and within the specified budget or quality request.

Subtasks

Conduct technical training program of Technician and Operator.

Ensure technicians and operators follow the work instruction in operating their duty.

Requirements:

Preferably a Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Science, with at least 1 year of experience in engineering, process, or manufacturing.

Chinese candidates preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking superior.

Good understanding of modern machinery work.

Preferably knowledgeable in ISO 13485 (Medical Devices – Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Regulatory Purposes) and have a basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Familiarity with statistical analysis and process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and DOE (Design of Experiments).

Preferably with technical expertise, problem-solving methods or tools, and strong interaction skills.

Preferably dynamic, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with good communication and supervision skills.

Ability to lead a team of skilled workers.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Willingness to work extra hours if necessary to meet production targets and deadlines
