Assistant Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1.Production Planning & Execution
Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Ensure timely completion of production orders with minimal downtime.

2.People Management
Lead, train, and manage a team of supervisors, line leaders, and production operators.
Drive team performance through effective delegation, coaching, and motivation.

3.Quality & Compliance
Ensure all products meet the required quality and safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, etc.).
Work closely with QA/QC to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

4.Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency (e.g., lean manufacturing, OEE).
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

5.Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in good working condition and preventive maintenance is carried out.

6.Inventory & Material Management
Monitor raw material usage and work with supply chain/warehouse to ensure adequate stock levels for production needs.

7.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

8.Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management.
Analyze production data to drive operational decisions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of working experience in food manufacturing, with at least 6 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, production systems, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple production lines.
Proficient in MS Office and production-related software (e.g., ERP/ Autocount systems).
