Boilerman (grade 2)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and ensure utility boilers are in good working condition to prevent unwanted downtime during production

Responsible for the performance of selected machinery and equipment according to KPI

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and preventive maintenance based on TPM requirements

Operate and supervise high-pressure steam boilers (100–150 psi, less than 25 BHP); monitor steam pressure and manage manual release and blow-off valves

Conduct repairs and replace parts as necessary to meet inspection standards and ensure safe operation

Maintain and service the water softener system regularly

Coordinate and follow up with contractors for annual boiler inspections by relevant authorities

Keep comprehensive records of all maintenance activities in the boiler logbook

Track hourly and daily steam usage by production line and report to immediate supervisor

Instruct boiler operators to inspect all steam lines regularly and ensure there are no steam leaks

Ensure all boilers are consistently operating in optimal condition

Minimize downtime during production through proactive maintenance and quick response to issues

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to identify and implement improvement solutions

Complete repairs or adjustments within the given time to avoid excessive production delays

Submit daily technical reports to supervisors for review

Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements in line with the Etika Quality System



REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

Possess a valid Boilerman Certification (mandatory).

Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).

Strong commitment to environmental, safety, and health standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
