Job Description

Job descriptions:

1. Supports the finance/production department by analysing production costs.

2. Determining the actual cost and the associated expenses of manufacturing a product and analysing its profitability and compiling the company budget.

3. Define standard costs for materials, labour, and overhead by using historical information, industry standards, and other pertinent data.

4. Track and analyse the differences between standard costs and actual production costs, investigating and explaining any significant discrepancies to management.

5. Help develop budgets and forecasts focused mainly on overhead costs by providing relevant cost insights. Track actual results versus budget and explain any variances.

6. Establish and uphold inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking and valuation of inventory based on standard costs.

7. Generate regular reports on costs and performance metrics to monitor key cost factors, highlight areas for improvement, and offer cost-saving recommendations to management.

8. Maintain adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulations in all cost-related tasks, identifying and resolving any compliance or control issues.

9. Calculating how much it costs a business to produce a product or service.

10. Tracking inventory to ensure accurate product pricing.

11. Variance analysis between actual and standard costs, assisting in budget preparation.

12. Support administrative documentation to ensure an efficient office operation.

13. Communicate with internal department on matters related to administrative and production activities.

14. Assist to prepare documentations of production costing.

15. Perform administrative tasks and operational functions.

16. Supports and works closely with production team, operations and accounts department to gather necessary input to work on cost optimization.



Job requirements:

1. At least SPM/Certificate or Diploma.

2. Work experience in manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

3. Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office.

4. Good in communication and willing to learn.

5. Basic Account Knowledge is advantage.
