Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily customs clearance operations to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely processing activities.

Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, trade requirements, and internal operational standards.

Monitor customs declarations, documentation, duties, and tax payments to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.

Analyze operational reports and performance data to identify process gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Work closely with internal departments, customers, customs authorities, and external stakeholders to resolve operational and compliance-related matters effectively.

Supervise and guide team members to ensure service excellence, declaration accuracy, and achievement of operational KPIs.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, guidance, and corrective actions when necessary.

Ensure all team members are properly trained and equipped with the required customs and compliance knowledge to meet audit and operational standards.

Support resource planning and manpower allocation to optimize workflow and operational performance across shifts.

Stay updated on customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and industry best practices to ensure operational readiness.



Requirements

Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Customs Clearance, Trade Compliance, Freight Forwarding, Courier Express, Logistics, or Import/Export operations.

Strong hands-on experience in customs clearance processes and regulatory compliance.

Possess KEK (Kursus Ejen Kastam) certification and/or Customs Broker License.

Good knowledge of Malaysian Customs regulations and trade compliance practices.

Proven leadership experience in managing teams within a fast-paced operational environment.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Ability to identify process improvements and implement effective operational solutions.

Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
