Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

To attend the weekly meetings set by the immediate supervisor

Assist in designing, developing and implementing ETL solutions

Develop technical specifications and design documents for ETL solutions

Automate business processes using the ETL technology ranging from Simple to Medium Complex processes

Participate in development of ETL flows

Perform system testing and documentation whenever necessary

Maintain and support project post-implementation activities

Ensure timely delivery of assigned work

Any other tasks which may be assigned by the Management


Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of hand-on experience in ETL platform and open source technologies

Good understanding of ETL tools and technologies

Knowledge in Pentaho Data Integration and selenium have an added advantage

Excellent knowledge in relational databases

Knowledge in Java/JSON/XML/REST/SOAP/Web Services would be added advantages

Strong interpersonal skills with good command of English – both written and oral
