Engineer - Electrical (Kuala Langat)

Roles
-Supports the Senior Electrical Engineer to ensure proper execution and effective maintenance of the Power Station in accordance with safety, environmental and legal regulations.
-Manage the daily EC&I maintenance of the Power Station so that all requirements are identified, documented, planned, scheduled and carried out correctly, and that a history of details of work carried out is available in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
-Demonstrate strong leadership skills by leading the EC&I Team members by example.

Responsibilities and Duties
-Execution of maintenance activities including investigation of defects, analysis and rectification as directed.
-Maintain a high safety conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all company and legislative Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements.
-The jobholder is to use his or her enhanced knowledge, skill and experience to teach and improve the skills and abilities of the EC&I Technicians.
-Ensure that identification of maintenance requirements has considered the need to achieve the required plant availability, reliability and performance at the lowest cost to KLPP and the customer, including negotiation with suppliers for better pricing on services.
-Support the Head of Electrical Maintenance Section, to plan, co-ordinate and execute inspections and calibration of equipment (protection relays, metering equipment, etc.) according to legal requirements or as determined by the contract.
-Preparation of new Work Instructions (WI) or review of existing WI’s as required or identified from time to time.
-Reporting according to procedures and requirements.
-Pro-activeness in solving problems.
-Maintain good relations within the team and work with other members of the team and other parties.
-Comply with all applicable SHEQ legal requirements and our stakeholders’ specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost & pursuing excellence.
-To perform other additional tasks that are relevant and necessary to accomplish thecompany overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification and Competency (License)

Minimum Education Qualification required:
a) Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or
b) Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering or
c) Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering

Minimum Mandatory Competency (License) required:
a) Not applicable.
-Optional requirement or added advantage:
b) Authorized Entrant and Standby Person for Confined Space (AESP).

Work Experience

Minimum years of working experience related to the work scope:

a) open to fresh graduate.

-Good computer literacy
-Good knowledge of EC&I Engineering practices, functions and processes involved inPower Station EC&I maintenance.
-Able to work independently with minimum supervision
-Good communication skills
-Good verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
