Environmental Officer

Requirements

At least a Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
Must possess ESCP certification.
Knowledge of ISO quality and environmental management systems, sediment and soil erosion control, and scheduled waste management.
Familiar with legal requirements and environmental practices.
Responsibilities

YPEEnsure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., DOE, EQA 1974).
Monitor and maintain environmental records, reports, and documentation as required by authorities.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify environmental risks and ensure implementation of control measures.
Implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMP), including Scheduled Waste Management and ESCP (Erosion and Sediment Control Plan).
Liaise with government agencies (e.g., DOE, Local Council) regarding environmental matters, licensing, and reporting.
Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on environmental best practices and legal compliance.
Manage and coordinate scheduled waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with legal requirements.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Investigate environmental incidents or complaints and propose corrective/preventive actions.
Prepare and submit Environmental Monitoring Reports (e.g., SWM, air, noise, water quality) on a scheduled basis.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
