Equipment Control Executive

Job Description:

Manage container movements and coordinate with the port, depot, and haulage providers to address container-related issues.

Work with depots for container maintenance and repairs.

Oversee the availability, condition, and maintenance of containers and related equipment at the branch level, ensuring efficient deployment according to operational requirements.

Provide regular reports to HQ on container operations, including equipment shortages, repairs, maintenance, and inventory discrepancies. Maintain clear communication with HQ regarding updates or changes in equipment needs.

Manage relationships with local vendors and service providers for equipment repairs, maintenance, and related services. Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with agreed service levels in alignment with HQ guidelines.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements:

Candidates with a Degree/Diploma in Shipping, Supply Chain, or Logistics are preferred. However, motivated candidates from other fields are also encouraged to apply.

Preferably over 2 years of experience in the shipping or logistics industry.

Responsible, flexible, and familiar with computer applications.

Excellent in Excel.

Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin to communicate with HQ based in Shanghai
