Equipment Senior Engineer
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering/maintenance.

Knowledge of ISO 13485 & experienced in medical manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of equipment validation (IQ/OQ), calibration, and preventive maintenance.

Good knowledge of risk assessment and root cause analysis.

Familiar with safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.

Principle Responsibilities: Equipment management, maintenance & calibration

Scope of Duties:
1.Equipment Control

Ensure all equipment, jigs & tools are registered, labeled, and well managed.

Conduct IQ, OQ, and support PQ as per defined protocols.

Prepare WI or procedures and records for the equipment accordingly & conduct training to related parties on the procedures as well as the correct equipment handling.

Establish maintenance schedules, perform periodic maintenance, and verify equipment performance post-maintenance.

Troubleshoot, repair, and verify equipment functionality to avoid quality impact.

Maintain detailed records for maintenance, repair, verification, and issues.

Monitor equipment breakdown trends and implement improvement actions.

Perform risk assessments and corrective actions for non-conformities.

Collaborate with production and other departments for efficiency improvements.

2.Calibration

Ensure timely calibration of equipment/tools and maintain updated calibration labels.

Define & review calibration frequency based on usage and application.

Implement monitoring systems and conduct risk assessments for out-of-calibration issues.

Participate in vendor selection for calibration services.

3.Human Management

Maintain and update employee skill matrix.

Coordinate OJT and probation evaluations.

Conduct training on equipment & facilities related.

Monitor & evaluate employee performance and disciplinary.

Ensure adherence to hygiene and cleanliness standards.

4.Cost

Monitor budget and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Analyze production downtime due to equipment issues and define preventive measures.

Enforce safety procedures in equipment usage.

Report and resolve safety hazards in collaboration with relevant departments.

5. Safety

Ensure adherence to safety rules in the company, including equipment handling.

Report any safety issues to the related parties, whether it is an accident or potential hazard. Work together with related parties to resolve any issues.

Ensure safety labels or procedures are available and implemented in the required processes.

6. Others

Support facility-related activities.

Ensure 5S and cleanroom compliance in the work area.

Attend meetings as representative as needed and handle ad-hoc tasks as required.
