Executive, Procurement (Raw Materials)

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Supplier Management

Manage purchasing activities for raw materials to ensure timely supply with the right quality, quantity, and pricing

Coordinate closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality requirements

Conduct supplier negotiations and support cost-saving initiatives

Prepare price comparison analyses and procurement recommendations for approval

2. Import & Shipping Coordination

Coordinate import and shipping activities to ensure timely clearance of materials

Manage applications for import permits related to controlled items with relevant authorities

Maintain proper filing and documentation of shipping records

3. Supplier Qualification & Compliance

Support supplier technical evaluation and qualification processes

Follow up with suppliers on required technical documentation and compliance requirements

Monitor supplier performance and prepare quarterly vendor evaluation reports

4. Change Control & System Management

Raise and monitor raw material-related Change Controls (CC) in the eQMS system until closure

Support procurement process improvements, SOP revisions, and documentation updates

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with QA, QC, RA, Planning, Production, Warehouse, and Technical Services teams to resolve material-related issues

Support internal departments on procurement and raw material enquiries

6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Prepare monthly savings reports and critical issue reports for management review

Support e-bidding activities and procurement improvement initiatives

Assist in Halal certification activities, audits, and related compliance matters

Requirements
Qualifications

Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain environment

Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industry is an added advantage

Technical Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of procurement operations and supplier management

Familiarity with SAP MM and Microsoft Office applications

Understanding of import/export documentation and shipping coordination

Strong negotiation and analytical skills

Good written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia
