Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Carry out design for Cut and Cover tunnels/deep excavation/TBM tunnels/Drill and Blast tunnels.

• Carry out construction impact assessment due to tunnel excavation.

• Assist the Team Leader/Sub-team Leaders in the performance of their duties;

• Carry out design calculations/BoQ preparation;

• Produce sketch drawings;

• Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/ Client Brief/ Approved Concept/ relevant design standards and office standards;

• Check documentation complies with designs;

• Attend meetings.



Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical or Structural) or equivalent.

• 3- 10 years tunnel/underground structure design or relevant experiences.

• Independent and able to lead projects.

• Competent in SAP 2000 or any structure analysis software. Plaxis, Midas GTS, Slope/W or any geotechnical analysis software is preferred.

• Able to converse fluently in Mandarin and English.

• Team player and strong communication skills.

• Able to work under stress and good attitude.

Salary for competent and experienced candidates are negotiable.
